Jerry Jeff Walker vil selvfølgelig huskes for alltid for sin klassiker »Mr. Bojangles«.
På 70-80-tallet var han en svært sentral figur i Texas alternative countryscene og nå kommer et opptak fra denne tiden på både DVD og CD.
Etter alt å dømme den første utgivelsen i en omfattende serie.

This jam-packed 26-song concert experience captures the progressive country pioneer in his prime with a front-row-seat/you-are-there show from the mid-1980s. It features two rousing sets with Walker backed by the Lost Gonzo Survivors and a solo acoustic segment.

Included are superior renditions of such Walker classics as Mr. Bojangles, Up Against The Wall, Redneck Mother, London Homesick Blues, L.A. Freeway and more taped in an intimate setting rich with the downhome Austin atmosphere back when the ropers united with the dopers to create some of the coolest country music ever made.

It's the first concert from the never-seen-before treasure trove of some 75 shows taped at Dixie s Bar & Bus Stop, an Austin underground music show that caught vibrant appearances from legendary Texas country artists roots singer-songwriters during the early-to-mid 1980s. The superb audio and intimate visuals make this package and the many to follow historical live music landmark performances something that fans of real American music should not miss!
