James Hand til Down On The Farm

Da Texas country-sangeren James »Slim« Hand slapp sitt album »The Truth will set you Free« (Rounder) i 2006, spisset countryfans over hele verden ørene.

På forsiden av coveret (!) stod det å lese; »Somewhere in Texas a haunting voice reverberates off salon walls, a voice rich with the echos of timeless country music. The singer & songwriter is JAMES HAND and he has quite a story to tell.

Tre år senere er Hand klar med oppfølgeren og han er også klar for sine første Skandinaviaspillinger, på Down on the Farm, utenfor Halden, 7. & 8. august.

Det nye albumet slippes først i USA i slutten av august, men Hand lover at plata blir tilgjengelig på Down on the Farm.

»The Truth will set you free« ble produsert av Ray Benson (Asleep at the Wheel) og Lloyd Maines. Maines spilte selv pedal steel og dobro, mens Redd Volkaert og Will Indian spilte Fender Telecastere.
