Dolorean smyger seg innpå

Portland, Oregon-bandet Dolorean har flere fans i rootsy-redaksjonen. Alle gleder seg til 20. februar-utgivelsen av bandets tredje album, »You can´t win« (yeproc).

»After 2003's Not Exotic and 2005's Violence in the Snowy Fields, Dolorean became an underdog favorite with national critics, writers, and a loyal following of fans. Now, with You Can't Win, Dolorean delivers another collection of melancholy and stunningly beautiful folk pop songs. Singer Al James completed the eleven new songs here after Dolorean's 2005 European tour, and before long, the band performed the set live at two gigs within two weeks at one bar in their hometown of Portland, OR. After these two brief outings, James and cohorts promptly went into the studio and recorded all the basic tracks in one weekend. Cinematic and haunting in their imagery, the songs on You Can't Win - from the spooky opening percussion on the title track to the closing notes of «My Still Life» - confirm the critical accolades.«
