Manx, Harry & Kevin Breit - Jubilee
Jubilee is an incredible collaboration of Harry Manx and Kevin Breit, recorded in May, 2002 in Toronto. The impetus for this CD came from a workshop at the Summerfolk festival in Owen Sound where they had met and jammed for the first time. Michael Wrycraft, who has designed most of our CD covers, received a tape of their jam and was convinced there was magic involved.
Michael quickly put together a proposal to record them and Jubilee soon became a reality. Both Harry and Kevin brought an equal number of songs to the table, and during the recording session, they co-wrote one song as well. The result is an incredible mix of blues, country, jazz, and world music - and with incredible sound quality courtesy of producer David Travers-Smith.
Four incredible covers are included on this CD - Voodoo Child (Jimi Hendrix), Takin' it to the Streets (Doobie Brothers), Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues(Danny O'Keefe) and Diving Duck Blues (Sleepy John Estes). In addition, there are two Harry Manx originals, several originals from Kevin Breit, and a really beautiful ballad they co-wrote, 'Unmoved by Love'.
Jubilee comes in a digipak format complete with an incredible booklet of photographs.
