Mother Superior är en LA-baserad trio som turnerar ca 150 dagar om året, drar full hus över allt och fått kritiker att jubla. Rolling Stone beskrev dem som »Led Zeppelin with a full erection, Decca-period Rolling Stones, and early ZZ Top with the fury of the Stooges.« All Music Guide nämner dem i samma andetag som Gov't Mule och The Black Crowes.

Daniel Lanois har producerat två av låtarna på nya plattan »Three Headed Dog« (deras nionde album) och han bidrar också med pedal steel och mandolin.
