It's been five long years since we hear any new music by the Swedish master guitarist and composer Peder af Ugglas. But finally, here's the first part of a four part suite called »Works« that will be released in the next 12 months.

So far Peder af Ugglas has released five internationally acclaimed solo albums with his seamless mix of Nordic folk, blues, rock, and jazz. His last album »Blue Departure« was release early 2015, but at that time Peder kind of disappeared from the scene. While he was recording »Blue Departure, he' was diagnosed ME/CFS. A chronic disease that changed Peder's life drastically. For a long time he even stopped making music altogether.

But after a couple of years the urge to get back to creating music grew stronger. Strong enough to conquer all the obstacles created by the disease. But it was a slow and sometimes painful process. He had to work out new ways and methods of composing and playing. And he had to proceed very carefully. To recover from a brief recording session, he sometimes needed weeks of rest. It's not been easy and Peder doubted for a long time that he was able to record something worth releasing.

Peder af Ugglas persevered and now we have the six great tracks that make up part 1 of «Works». Six beautiful and spirited instrumental tracks, music made out of necessity and with unstoppable creativity.
