»Dignity« is the second album from Norwegian Halden Electric. The debut album »Grace Under Pressure received critical acclaim back home in Norway as well as internationally (see quote below), but «Dignity is still something else. The songwriting of the brain behind Halden Electric, Anders Svendsen, is better than ever and this time they have developed a sound of their own. Sure, they are not inventing the wheel again. Fans of bands like Lambchop and Willard Grant Conspiracy will most likely feel comfortable with Halden Electric. Add some Nordic sadness and beauty and you get an idea of the Halden Electric sound.
Haldens Electric is based in Halden in the southeast of Norway. They got the name from a matchstick factory in the hometown . Ironically, it burned to the ground in 1922. (Did anyone say, don’t play with those matches, son).
Bearing in mind the roots of this music the quality of the songs and the sound is remarkable; this record is full of Americana references. - Americana UK on »Grace Under Pressure«
