Ny Tom Russell-antologi

Plateselskapet Hightone, som har gitt ut Tom Russells plater det siste drøye tiåret ble lagt ned i fjor, og har overdratt sine mastertaper til selskapet Shout Factory. Neste tirsdag slipper Shout Factory en dobbel karriere-samling, »Veteran´s Day/ The Antology«.

This project has been in the works for nearly a year and is now ready for release. The two discs in this set span his entire career, starting off with several out of print recordings and winding down with an unreleased song and a brand new one debuting here. With thirty seven selections spanning thirty years it’s hard to cover it all, but Tom and the folks at Shout Factory have come up with a great sampling of his amazing career. The tracks were culled from each label he’s recorded for. The best part is that they have all been lovingly remastered with some sounding like they were recorded just yesterday. A cool eight panel digi-pak with an informative booklet and track by track notes on the songs keeps the vibe going. This is without a doubt the perfect collection for newer fans to sample the wares and for longtime fans to pass along to those who should be hearing this music.
